Inaugural News from Great Britain

I celebrated the 56th Presdential Inauguration in Bristol, UK with a little party of crew members in my room, Buck's Fizz ( it's a bottled mimosa), Macgallen Scotch (for those who drink it), English Licheister cheese, bread and various other snacks. CNN had great coverage as did SkyNews and BBC. The front page of The USA Today overseas edition was different than that of the US edition ( plus the paper is only 2 small sections vs the 4 we're used to).
The following are photos of the front pages and special inserts from British papers that I bought before leaving Bristol on the 21st of January.
I love this photograph of the swearing in with Michelle Obama holding the Lincoln Bible. For those unaware, this bible has not been used for this purpose since Lincoln took office in 1861, it now remains on display in The Library of Congress.

The swearing in ceremony in the forefront with a shot of the masses on The Mall. What an incredible celebration this was or should I say is...

The Times and the Indpendent both used the same photo on the front page. One with text and one without.

This is part of the insert in The Sun, it shows some of the momentuous times in President Obama's life ( sorry the resolution is not great).

A favorite picture of mine... Little Sasha Obama giving her daddy, The President of The United States a "thumbs up". What an incredible day this must have been for those two little girls. It will be fun to follow their antics in the White House.
