Economic Stimulus:)and then some

Our "Economic Stimulus" check sat idle in the bank for 5 months. It took Malcolm and I that long to go sofa/TV shopping together. The sofa had certain requirements by Malcolm, after spending about 2 hours in a furniture store we narrowed our decision down to 2; the one we actually chose however, was not one of the two that we had first considered--we somehow missed the "perfect sofa" on our first visit to the store, or as Malcolm said, It may have been a new arrival just waiting for us to see it...
We settled on this one!! It is big enough for Malcolm to "crash" if need be, accompany 3 or more people during a WVU football party, and most of all, comfortable and cozy to watch TV and/or just relax by the fireplace in the breezeway/den.

I ordered an accent rug, a rooster of course!! The pillows on the sofa have copper, olive green and brick red stripes, they really complement the brick floor and walls.

A nice big HDTV--42" we're ready for the conversion on Feb 19th. I know we now need a better stand, I'll look for that on my own as I'm not sure if I'll get one that mounts the TV higher and leaves the shelves free or a low table-top level corner stand to open up the area a bit more ( this stand is big and outdated)
