Malcolm moved the furniture, most of it, and took up the old rug before I could get true "before" shots of the basement/family room. These are "before/during" shots. The assorted pictures are all coming down to be re-framed in a large collage frame and the walls and trim will be painted--walls "Country White" and trim "Kenya"
The fireplace and more pictures to be re-done as well as a glimpse of the old curtains. In looking at the walls I found that the windows have no trim around them-- another project for me ( perhaps a decorative trim to accent the area where Malcolm's new bar will be). Plus I'd like to get the "racks" from deer that "Malcolm, the Great White Hunter" has conquered mounted or repaired to hang above the fireplace along with the Civil War Sabre that you can see here.
And still, more pictures-- these are from Malcolm's various wrestling teams. I am hoping to build a bookcase/trophy case thanks to the template from Hank to house these pictures in nice little groupings, books and Malcolm's trophies from school.

Once I get the walls/trim painted we can get the carpeting installed and go from there...I'll post as we go...

Wow this project makes me dizzy. You 2 have got a lot of work ahead of you, but the paint colors are a start. It'll be a world of a difference once it's done!
