a lifetime of memories --photo collage

Valentine's Day was also Malcolm's mother's 90th Birthday!! She had expressed sometime ago wanting a big photo collage picture frame--I saw this frame in January and thought then that it would be nice to get it for her as a surprise gift. Of course I did not buy it when I first saw it so I had to then go to several stores-- on Tues., the 10th I found the frame I wanted and began my project.I started with Malcolm's parents' wedding portrait in the middle. As I delved through dozens of picture envelopes I began to find pictures of Beverly when she was young and of the 5 children. These shots show the "work in progress" so to speak

Oh my so many pictures to chose from... trying not to leave anyone out and not have too many pictures of any one person was a bit of a challenge but fun. It was interesting to find the old pictures of Beverly when she was a child, young adult and mother and through the different chapters of her life.

I scanned, copied, cropped lots of different pictures of the family--then decided on which to use. Once I got a started the pictures just seem to fall into a balanced collage without my even noticing it.

Almost done

The final product-- a lifetime captured in photos that will hope live on for many years to come
