Stratford-upon-Avon

Jolly 'ole England in the Springtime. This is the famous Stratford-upon-Avon where Shakespeare was born, lived and died. It is by far one of my very favorite destinations. Malcolm compared it to a "big Georgetown" and priced similiarly too!!The Alveston Manor Hotel is where we, as a crew stay. It dates back to before Shakespeare's time and is surrounded by lush gardens

This is the Swan Theatre where on any given night you can see Shakespearean plays . The Royal Shakespeare Theatre was next door-it has been partially torn down for renovations
Now one might think by the sign that this is a flower shoppe. Oh no! It is one of the favorite watering holes for the crew and 'the Duck' has awesome fish and chips

This is the house where Shakespeare was born. I've been to Stratford many times but haven't ventured away from the town as of yet. This summer I plan to go out to the Mary Arden and Anne of Green Gables houses
England is known for its gardens.
The gardens surrounding Shakespeare's birthplace are beautiful even in the winter. I love this tree, it reminds me of a giant umbrella
